Site Specific: Final Outcome

My final outcome is of the visualization projected against the wall under the bridge along Calton Road. The reason for using visualization was taking into account the music scene which use to be a significant part of Edinburgh. I was influenced by the sound of the train going above the road. The vibration from the bridge causes an echo I captured this by recording the sound using my camera. The idea is to have the visualization projected on random walls at different intervals.

Site-Specific: Development

I decided to use blue here as I was inspired by Shinya Tsukamoto’s use of blue filtering throughout his film of June of Snake and Bodyhammer. I wanted to recreate this atmosphere as blue in a psychological manner promotes a free of mind.

The sound is taken of the train going above Calton Road casuing an echo under the bridge.

Below I’ve incorporated the visualization onto a different part of the wall under the bridge.

Above the quality of the image is not that great.

The red is vibrant than the blue. The red promotes physical courage, strength, warmth, energy, basic survival, ‘fight or flight’, stimulation, masculinity, excitement. 

I like the method I’ve used above. However I feel that the blue is not as strong as the red.
