My work deals with alienation, differences in the way of life between ‘home’ and a ‘foreign’ country. Different thinking and different ways of reacting to and handling life’s situations in other countries between people. My inspiration comes from my personal understanding of language, culture and identity. Culture and language has fascinated me since I was a child, embedded into me by travels around Europe and Asia. Airports are momentous as they act as a playground for congregating mass-culturalism, the interaction between people, the endless announcement reciting the same message in six different languages just the thought of it gives me nostalgia.
